The extra low pH value of cleansing with very mild surfactants is essential for the natural protective function of the skin. In the case of neurosensitive skin or skin prone to neurodermatitis, the pH value is usually unphysiologically increased. The biomimetic de-stress peptide (palmitoyl tripeptide-8) demonstrably reduces the release of substance P, thereby preventing the development of neurogenic symptoms and reducing its noticeable and visible effects.
