Acetyl hexapeptide-8 (a key peptide) inhibits the transmission of signals from nerve to muscle and thus the contraction of the facial muscles. This relaxed state then results in a reduction of wrinkle depth meaning small wrinkles are smoothed and the face appears softened. Palmitoyl tripeptide-5 significantly improves collagen regeneration by activating the TGF growth factor. Weaknesses in the fibre structures of connective tissues are compensated for, reducing wrinkle depth and improving the skin’s surface contours.
